Explorer’s Journal
The explorer finds Vale Sangora fascinating: judging by his findings it is hard to say which peoples dominated these lands through the ages — he has uncovered remnants of Germans, Slavs, Bohemians, even Magyars. His research centres above all on the Dacians, whom Cassius Dio identified with the Getae, the Greek name for the Dacians — though evidence to the contrary has shaken his certainty, and he will omit it from his account.
He is currently camping in ruins of unknown origin, having passed a stone circle in the dark on the way in — such spots invariably conceal something of interest. He means to retrace his steps west tomorrow for a closer look; who knows what he will discover.
