Habeas Sanguinem

Brencis of Vale Sangora, its Knyaz, declares in his own voice that no dweller of the Valley may ever face execution and draining of blood except by lawful judgement and the statutes of the realm.

Blood will be collected as a monthly tithe at masses: each inhabitant donates a pint of blood, not a drop more, and in return receives communion wine hallowed with vrakhiri blood to ward off illness. All over eighteen must attend the masses; no weakness, sickness or other reason excuses absence.

Such is the Covenant.
