Skender's Sins

Written and circulated on Knyaz Brencis's orders, this text damns Skender Dragosti as the worst tyrant of all,

worse than the dolts that governed Vale Sangora — caring nothing for his subjects, exploiting them like tools,

and bleeding them to death at Shrike's Crag in a massacre worse than the plague.

It then claims Brencis first sought a peaceful solution, offering Skender and the nobility safe flight

from the valley on one condition: leave all riches behind for the people. Skender refused,

having fought harder for treasure than for family, faith, or subjects — and so had to die of short-sightedness.
