A smeared warning passed between manumits: Bakir's hunters are onto Novak — flee to miller Mert.
Likely passed between manumits, this bloodied letter warns Novak that the rebel hunters of Bakir are onto him:
he must vanish quickly and make for miller Mert, who backs the cause and will shelter him
until things calm down. It closes with a prayer for God's protection, signed K.
