Successful Operation

This communication between Brencis's soldiers reports the operation a success: as foreseen, the manumits

attempted to liberate their comrade and walked into a trap. Five were captured, those still capable of speech interrogated —

yielding nothing crucial — all of them fresh recruits — and summarily executed. No casualties on their side.

They will linger in the area a few more days in case more rebels appear.
