After her nephew frames her for theft, Yodit escapes Aksum with the help of her bodyguard Samuel. Rally the scattered Shotel Warriors and choose a route through the forts guarding the way out of the empire.
Player approach
Path of Exile starts with Yodit and Samuel outside Aksum and activates Gidajan’s production when the loyal village is approached. Scout first, gather the available Shotel Warriors, and choose the escape point with the army ready.
Step-by-step plan
Use Samuel to remove the first guards, targeting the Shotel Warrior that can deal the most damage, then recruit the two loyal Shotels to the west. Keep Yodit behind the bodyguard; her speed and sight make her an excellent scout, but she cannot fight. Before approaching the village, search the map for the remaining Shotel Warriors and resource caches. When ready, claim the village to reveal the escape objectives and use the recruited army to clear a route to one of the marked exits.
Risks and adjustments
Approaching the village starts enemy production and attacks, so do not trigger it while the force is still scattered. Yodit must reach an escape point safely; avoid using her to lure enemies when Samuel can handle the fight.
