Overview

African Clearing replaces Berry Bushes with abundant hunt and small fish-bearing ponds. Interior trees are sparse, while a dense palm forest along the edge can become an important wood source.

Plan and execution

Settle near safe hunt and a pond so early food does not depend on berries. Scout a route toward the edge forest before the first woodline runs thin, and protect Fishing Ships if the pond is contested. Use Outposts or a small mobile force to watch the gap between the base and the forest.

Risks and adaptation

Pushing too far to the edge for wood can expose Villagers, while overcommitting to a tiny pond gives the opponent an easy target. Balance safe food gathering with a planned second woodline.
