Overview
Move land forces by Transport Ship to reach an island, cross a defended shoreline, or attack from an unexpected direction. Scout the landing area, protect the transports, and unload where the army can form up without being trapped at the coast.
Prepare the crossing
Scout the landing shore before loading a Transport Ship. Choose an unload point with room for troops to form up, then screen the transport route with warships and send a force able to defend itself after landing.
Secure the foothold
Protect the first group until it can hold a rally point or establish production. Bring follow-up workers or siege only after the route is clear enough to support them.
Avoid a single-point failure
A lost transport can remove both the army and its route home. Split important loads when possible, keep a reserve fleet, and cancel the landing if enemy ships control the approach.
