Desire last-minute Monument control

Desire is decided by holding the Monument when the timer expires. Take it early for the resource stream, but keep a fast group ready to reclaim it if another faction captures it near the deadline.

Overview

Desire is decided by holding the Monument when the timer expires. Take it early for the resource stream, but keep a fast group ready to reclaim it if another faction captures it near the deadline.

Plan and execution

Send the Scout to the Monument immediately and use its income to accelerate the economy. Add Rathas or Battle Elephants while scouting the Pratihara approaches, then contest the Monument before the opponent secures a lasting hold. If an enemy takes it, preserve cavalry and Rathas for a timed return rather than committing the entire army too early.

Risks and adaptation

The player only needs control at the final moment, but waiting until the last seconds risks being unable to dislodge the holder. Keep an escort near the Monument and watch for a counterattack as your force moves away.
