Overview

Enlightenment uses a decaying Piety score that unlocks different bonuses, so objective order matters. Combine research, Monasteries, conversions, Relics, and a Wonder to reach the reward that best supports the final mission.

Plan and execution

Track the Piety threshold required for the next rank and choose nearby objectives that can be completed before decay erases the gain. Research University technologies, convert isolated units, capture Relics, and establish the required Monasteries in parallel where possible. Select a reward path that matches the army you intend to field, then continue earning Piety until the campaign grants the needed bonus.

Risks and adaptation

Piety can exceed 100 but decays over time, so completing easy tasks without a follow-up plan may waste the score. Do not pursue every objective at once; prioritize the threshold that provides the most useful reward for the current mission.
