Hei Guang Cavalry protected-flank plan
Hei Guang Cavalry trade lower hit points for strong armor, which can let them withstand some attacks better than their health suggests. Their best use is a protected cavalry strike rather than a prolonged unsupported duel.

Overview
Hei Guang Cavalry trade lower hit points for strong armor, which can let them withstand some attacks better than their health suggests. Their best use is a protected cavalry strike rather than a prolonged unsupported duel.
Plan and execution
Group the cavalry and use them to flank ranged units or reinforce a side where the enemy cannot focus all its fire. Keep a screen against anti-cavalry troops and pull out when the fight turns into a direct melee grind.
Risks and adaptation
High armor does not prevent every kind of damage, and low hit points leave little room for repeated mistakes. Avoid Elite Skirmisher volleys and prepared anti-cavalry lines.
