Kona wounded-target cavalry strike
Kona are a medium cavalry choice with strong attacks against already-wounded targets and particular value against gunpowder units. Their missing melee armor makes target selection and timing especially important.

Overview
Kona are a medium cavalry choice with strong attacks against already-wounded targets and particular value against gunpowder units. Their missing melee armor makes target selection and timing especially important.
Plan and execution
Use a durable unit to begin the fight, then send Kona against weakened targets or exposed gunpowder troops. Their speed helps them flank and finish a retreating unit, but keep them out of the first contact until a safe opening appears.
Risks and adaptation
Kona can lose direct melee trades against armored cavalry and anti-cavalry units. Avoid a head-on charge into fresh enemies; use the damage-scaling role only when another line has created the opening.
