Overview

Naval fights reward timing between ranged Galleys, close-range Fire Ships, and Demolition Ships that punish clustered vessels.

Plan and execution

Use Galleys to apply ranged pressure and Fire Ships to close on them. Keep Demolition Ships out of the enemy’s firing line until another ship draws attention or the opponent’s formation becomes compact, then commit them to a high-value cluster. Reposition the fleet after each exchange so surviving ships support the next attack.

Risks and adaptation

A Demolition Ship exposed too early may be sunk before it reaches the fleet, while Fire Ships can be caught by an explosion. Watch spacing and approach angles, and avoid sending each ship type into a fight the opposing fleet is already prepared to win.
