Overview

Raising the Banners is a baseless race to recruit nine Cuman camps. Kotyan Khan is the only unit who can secure them, so send him directly between objectives while the escort keeps rival groups away.

Plan and execution

Identify the closest camps and move Kotyan from one to the next without optional exploration. Keep the starting force near him, using it to screen Tatar groups that contest a camp while Kotyan triggers recruitment. Once several camps join, use the expanding army to clear remaining routes, then return to the enemy objectives with enough force to complete the scenario.

Risks and adaptation

If Tatars and your troops occupy a camp at the same time, its Cumans can remain neutral until one side is removed. Do not split Kotyan from his escort or spend the opening fighting Mongols before the camp race is won.
