Overview

Small walls close vulnerable gaps while preserving routes for friendly movement.

Plan and execution

Scout approaches and wall exposed resource clusters first. Use useful buildings to reinforce boundaries, preserve an exit, and station mobile defenders near likely breaches.

Risks and adaptation

Over-walling traps workers and delays production; gaps may still admit raiders. Recheck the perimeter as the economy expands.

Decision example

A small wall around a woodline or gold camp can keep Scouts from reaching Villagers without committing to a full perimeter. Place the pieces early enough that a builder can finish before contact, and leave an exit toward the Town Center or another safe resource. If the opponent brings Archers, a wall alone may still leave workers in firing range; move the gathering point or add cover. Revisit the shape after expanding to new Farms or a second Town Center, because the old enclosure no longer protects the whole economy.
