GUIDE · BATTLE STRATEGY
The Fallen Amir Merv-first campaign plan
The Fallen Amir begins with a numerically superior Shaybani force around Merv. Draw patrols away in small groups, take the city, and develop its economy before pushing toward the remaining rivals.

Overview
The Fallen Amir begins with a numerically superior Shaybani force around Merv. Draw patrols away in small groups, take the city, and develop its economy before pushing toward the remaining rivals.
Plan and execution
Use the damaged city’s terrain to lure one patrol at a time instead of fighting the full army. Defeating Shaybani weakens the remaining force, after which Merv can be taken and used as a base. Immediately assign Villagers to repair and production, then scout Kabul and Samarkand before choosing the next attack. Keep enough defense near the new base while the main force moves out.
Risks and adaptation
Approaching Shaybani or killing enough of his troops can trigger a larger charge. Do not let the army become surrounded, and establish Merv’s defenses quickly because Babur’s pressure increases as the campaign expands.
