Overview

Follow Babur’s campaigns as Mughal power takes shape in South Asia.

Scenario details

Follow Babur’s campaigns as Mughal power takes shape in South Asia. Mission order and scenario notes: 1. Pearl of the East — Babur returns to Samarkand with a small loyal force and must survive repeated night raids before turning on the Timurids by day. Protect the camp, gather support from nearby nobles, capture the city’s districts, and defeat the Uzbek army 2. The Last Timurids — Babur and Qutlugh flee across Uzbek-held territory toward the relative safety of Herat. Once they arrive, turn the city’s resources into a defense against two invading armies, then defeat the Uzbeks and bring Kabul under Babur’s rule 3. Into India — Babur launches a fast raid across the Hindu Kush into northern India. The mission tracks gold taken from trade sites and caravans, so spend the plunder freely while choosing which local allies and mountain routes to secure 4. The Battle of Panipat — Babur prepares a fortified camp for Ibrahim Lodi’s larger army. Use the preparation phase to disrupt supplies and persuade potential defectors, hold the line for the timed battle, then leave the defenses to destroy the Sultanate’s fortress 5. The Rajputs — Babur faces a coalition of Rajput kingdoms while trying to hold his new position in northern India. Restore nearby settlements and recruit outside support, then either defeat Amber and Mewar or rely on a Wonder victory Use the named objectives, starting setup, and mission order in this entry to distinguish it from the standard skirmish rules.
