Overview

Babur launches a fast raid across the Hindu Kush into northern India. The mission tracks gold taken from trade sites and caravans, so spend the plunder freely while choosing which local allies and mountain routes to secure.

Player approach

Into India pits the player against Indian states that cooperate despite their apparent diplomacy. Secure early gold and choose a defensible Town Center position before their faster Imperial Age and Trebuchet pressure develops.

Step-by-step plan

Use the starting troops to capture the nearby Monastery, Market, merchants, and Trade Carts for upgrades and gold. Decide early whether to build at the original position, just east in the narrow strip, or farther east for a safer defensive footprint. Add walls and production toward the selected route, and prepare siege counters before the enemy reaches Imperial Age.

Risks and adjustments

The Indian states act together, so do not plan to defeat them one at a time through diplomacy. Their numerical edge and Trebuchets can overwhelm a base placed without a retreat route.
