Babur and Qutlugh flee across Uzbek-held territory toward the relative safety of Herat. Once they arrive, turn the city’s resources into a defense against two invading armies, then defeat the Uzbeks and bring Kabul under Babur’s rule.
Player approach
The Last Timurids begins with routes to Herat blocked by Uzbek troops and limited gold. Send Qutlugh and Babur through the guard line, then establish Castles that turn enemy raids into income.
Step-by-step plan
Move Qutlugh and Babur directly through the Uzbek force to reach Herat and unlock the base. Build an economy and place two or three Castles at the river passes, buying stone if necessary. Collect gold from enemy raiders and razed buildings, then find the Elephant Merchant and complete the request to unlock Armored and Siege Elephants. Use those engines to push through the Castle Age-limited defenses.
Risks and adjustments
Gold mines are scarce and Siege Elephants are not available at the start. Do not launch a siege before completing the merchant objective, and keep the heroes moving instead of fighting every guard.
