The Split sends a small expedition through the rainforest before it must cross the Amazon. Defeat El Barco’s coastal defenses, recruit local support, and preserve the three named leaders and Delicola.

The Split sends a small expedition through the rainforest before it must cross the Amazon. Defeat El Barco’s coastal defenses, recruit local support, and preserve the three named leaders and Delicola.
Plan and execution
Advance with Gonzalo Pizarro, Francisco de Orellana, and Delicola together, using the heroes to draw and defeat isolated guards. Remove El Barco’s Sea Towers to force its surrender and gain access to its Villager and nearby supplies. Gather the materials for a ship, then prepare the crossing with a protected landing group and local support. Keep Delicola behind the heroes because he cannot heal like a hero unit.
Risks and adaptation
Kamayuks threaten the mounted Conquistadores, and Delicola is easier to lose because he cannot regenerate. Do not separate the leaders during the forest march or send an unescorted group across the river.
