Overview

War of Brothers is a staged route battle where each unit type has a useful counter role, and capturing camps provides the economy and reinforcements needed for the later push. Keep the force organized as the path opens.

Plan and execution

Use Slingers against the opening Pikemen, then assign Elite Skirmishers to enemy ranged units, Champi Runners to exposed Skirmishers and Scorpions, and Slingers or Crossbowmen to Pikemen. At the first fork, choose the southern route and use Pachacuti to recruit leaderless Inca troops as the army advances. Once the southern camp is secured, assign its Villagers to food, wood, and gold and produce replacements before moving toward the next guarded village. Take the nearby resource camp only after adding enough counters for its mixed defenders.

Risks and adaptation

The force can be punished if it strays into the large groups guarding the northern and eastern routes. Do not advance all units into a single formation that lets the enemy’s counters fire freely; preserve ranged support and recruit as you move.
