Player approach
Make the river defense and the forward base work together. Choisy gives a useful staging area, but expanding too quickly can expose it before the main army is ready. Pressure the city only after securing crossings and organizing enough a distancia and asedio strength to handle its defenses. (Castillo, Reliquias)
Step-by-step plan
Clear or secure Choisy and use it to stage reinforcements. Protect the river approach, wall or guard vulnerable shallows, and collect Reliquias when they can be recovered safely. Use ships to support the river front where available, then assemble armas de asedio and escort troops before breaching Compiègne. Risks and adjustments
Leaving the river unattended lets attackers threaten the base or cut reinforcements, while splitting the army between the city and the southern force weakens both attacks.
