Plan and execution
On the Bulgarian route, secure the approaches to Nesebar, assemble enough force to retake the town, and then reposition defenders around the Maravilla before beginning optional expansion. On the Hungarian route, first connect and protect the villages that support Rey Bela, gather the available refugee suministros, and prevent the nobles from isolating your settlements. Build up a mobile force to answer Duke Frederick’s attacks, then strike enemy strongpoints in an order that keeps the supply network open. Risks and adaptation
The Maravilla defense can become difficult if the enemy approaches from multiple directions, so do not leave its perimeter undefended while pursuing a distant target.
