Resumen
The first Castillo capture has a strict survival condition: Toros and at least ten infantería must still be alive. Conserve the small starting army and use formation or hero positioning to neutralize the opening Escorpión before it can damage several unidades at once. (Outlawed, Toros, Castillo, recursos, Escorpión)
Plan and execution
Approach the Escorpión in staggered formation, or move Toros ahead to destroy it before the cuerpo a cuerpo unidades cerrar in. If the first Castillo approach has no caballería threat, leave the starting Spearmen behind and skip the Piquero upgrade to conserve recursos. Capture Vahka with the required survivors, then use the suministros and allied villagers that become available to establish production. Recruit only the edificios and unidades needed to continue, and advance toward the remaining Byzantine strongholds with the surviving army. (Toros, Escorpión, unidades, Castillo, Piquero upgrade, recursos, Castillo, suministros, edificios)
Risks and adaptation
Losing Toros or falling below ten infantería before capturing the first Castillo causes defeat. The Escorpión’s area damage punishes tightly packed troops, and unnecessary upgrades consume recursos needed after the capture. If the approach is unsafe, pull back and reposition rather than trading away survivors. (Toros, Castillo, Escorpión, recursos)
