Effect and affected unidades
The Cuarteles research upgrades Long Swordsmen to Two-Handed Swordsmen and strengthens eligible unidades already on the field. It helps the infantería line fortaleza pace with later armies and can add efficient cuerpo a cuerpo mass, especially when supported by asedio or anti-caballería unidades. Research cost and timing
Research the upgrade when your existing Long Swordsmen can use the improved stage and the economía can fortaleza replacing losses. It is most effective as part of a sustained infantería plan.
