Alps
Alps is a Definitive Edition — Knights of the Mediterranean map set in the alpine region of central Western Europe. Its tundra-like ground is marked by a snow path that forms a Y through the middle, with Houses placed along the upper portion of the lower branch.

Map character
The Y-shaped path creates several connected approaches rather than one straight front. Scout the central junction and the branches before placing a defensive line or moving the army toward a House. The built structures shape movement through the lower portion, while the snowy terrain makes the central route a clear landmark for navigation.
What to scout
Use the central junction as an early scouting priority, then decide which branch best protects expansion and reinforcement movement. Avoid sending the entire army down one arm before checking the other approach. If a House or nearby route is strategically important, secure the ground around it and keep a path open for units returning from the edge of the map.
Read the Y before choosing a front
The snow path provides an easy way to orient across the center, but the Y shape means control of one branch does not automatically secure the other. Use scouting to learn where the opponent is building and which side offers access to important sites. Keep the army’s response time in mind when choosing an expansion; a position beyond the junction can be difficult to reinforce if the opposing force controls the center.
