Builder Travois

Builder Travois is a mobile construction unit for the Inca. It can build selected structures for free at its destination, allowing the Inca to establish a position without paying the ordinary building resource cost.

Role, availability & values

The Travois has 250 hit points and moves at 5.0 speed. Its construction options are limited to eligible buildings rather than the entire Inca roster. It does not gather resources or fight as a normal army unit, so the wagon must reach a safe site and complete its assigned structure.

Matchup & timing

Choose a useful building and scout its destination before sending the Travois across the map. A forward production or support structure can reduce reinforcement distance, but the wagon is vulnerable during travel. Escort it if the route is contested and avoid spending it on a site the army cannot hold.

Use the fast Inca builder to extend a safe line

The 250-hit-point Travois moves at 5.0 speed and builds selected Inca structures for free. It does not gather or fight, so choose its building and destination before sending it across exposed terrain. The speed helps it reach a forward site, but construction is only useful if the army can protect the completed structure.

Free construction with a faster build rate

The Builder Travois is an Inca construction wagon obtained through Home City shipments or Age progression, rather than an ordinary unit trained at a military building. It can build some buildings for free, and the recorded construction rate is three times the ordinary rate with a placement range of three. Its 20% siege resistance is part of its defensive profile, but its 250 hit points still make an exposed trip risky. The exact list of eligible buildings matters: the ability does not grant free access to every structure in the Inca roster.

Choose the structure before delivery

Decide which eligible building will support the next stage of play before sending the wagon forward. A free, rapid building can secure a production point or extend support toward an objective, but it has little value if the location falls immediately or the selected structure is not available under the current rules. Escort the Travois across contested ground, confirm a valid placement area and keep a force nearby while it builds. This is distinct from the Stronghold Travois, whose role and structure access are different.
