Map character

Scout both objective groups early and map the distances between them. Identify which Trading Posts and Royal Houses can be held as a connected line without drawing the entire army away from the base.

What to scout

Prioritize objectives that your army can reinforce and use mobile units to contest the exposed route. Avoid splitting into two weak detachments simply to touch every site.

Four Royal Houses and a shared route

Eurasian Steppe represents the transcontinental grassland from Eastern Europe toward Central Asia. Its map layout includes a Trade Route with four Trading Post sites and four Royal Houses. The route links the contested sides of the map, while the Royal Houses offer several alliance choices. The exact positions of resources and settlements vary, so scout before deciding which site to claim.

Route control and alliance choices

The four Trading Posts create several opportunities to advance shipment progress, but they also spread control across a contested path. Claim a site that can be defended and watch for an opponent trying to take the remaining route sections. Explore the Royal Houses early and compare their benefits with the civilization’s army plan; a nearby alliance is not automatically the best one if its advantages do not fit. The map rewards vision across both the route and the neutral sites, so avoid sending all military units to one objective and leaving the economy exposed.
