Mexicans can access it after choosing the Sinaloa Federal State and sending the Pacific Pearl card. Italians and their allies can create access with TEAM Frutta di Mare; the United States has a related TEAM Lewis & Clark Expedition card. The Fishing Ground has 100 hit points and line of sight 3, but serves as a resource object, not a combat ship.

Resource and access profile
Use the card route when the map has safe water and a Dock fleet can gather the large Food stock. Protect the Fishing Ground with ships or coastal control, since 20 gatherers concentrate much of the economy in one area. Do not plan around it in a match where the required card, Federal State or navigable water is unavailable.
A card-enabled water economy
The Fishing Ground’s 10,000 Food makes it a major but finite gathering location. Its access depends on the civilization and Home City card route, so verify the Sinaloa or Italian/United States team option before building the plan around it. Up to 20 Fishing Ships can gather at the site, concentrating production but also creating a vulnerable fleet. Scout the shoreline, protect the boats and move them to other sources after the stock is depleted.
