Effect & research conditions
Research it at the Church; the listed research time is 15 seconds. The movement bonus applies to Hand Infantry, helping the affected units reposition or pursue. The training-time penalty affects future production of that class, so it may lengthen a large queue. Check which units in the active Swedish roster carry the Hand Infantry classification before relying on the effect.
Research condition
Available to Swedes from the Commerce Age. Research it at Church.
When to research
Research before a rotation or engagement where faster infantry can catch a target, flank or withdraw more effectively. Avoid starting it when the army urgently needs immediate replacements. Consider the slower queue when planning a large infantry force, and keep cavalry or ranged units available to cover tasks that benefit less from the movement bonus.
Mobility comes with a production trade-off
Push of Pike changes how quickly the infantry can move on the field and how quickly the next group leaves production. The 10% speed increase can help an army reach a contested site or keep formation while shifting position; it does not increase attack damage or health. The 10% training-time increase means a production plan may need to start earlier or use more buildings to sustain the same reinforcement rate. Weigh those two effects against the intended Swedish army composition.
