Terrain and layout
Players begin on an elevated, resource-poor hill and must move down toward a shared valley. The hill offers a view over the lower ground, but valuable resources are exposed around the center.
Resources and control
Gold and other valuable deposits are concentrated in the valley rather than at the starting hill. Sacred Sites and Trade Posts make the lower routes strategically important; exact resource placements can vary between generations.
Player considerations
Scout downhill routes before committing workers to the valley. Preserve vision from the high ground while contesting the scarce minerals and shared objectives below; leaving the hill too early can expose your start.
