Faction identity
Guerrilla Warfare is one of the named Terrorist Factions in the CS2 agent catalogue. The faction name describes the characters’ shared identity, not a separate mode or a special set of round rules. In CS2, selected agents provide alternate player models across maps; players do not receive the older map-by-map faction assignments simply by choosing a particular appearance.
The group’s visual theme draws on red bandanas and headwear, sleeveless or open-arm clothing, tactical vests, ammunition carriers and other practical field gear. Individual models vary in build, face and clothing while retaining recognizable faction styling. This makes the lineup visually cohesive without implying that every member has the same biography or specialty.
Agent roster and item quality
The eight listed agents are Trapper Aggressor (Distinguished); Col. Mangos Dabisi and Trapper (Exceptional); Elite Trapper Solman and Arno The Overgrown (Superior); and “Medium Rare” Crasswater, Crasswater The Forgotten and Vypa Sista of the Revolution (Master). Quality identifies the agent item’s inventory tier. It is not a gameplay rank, so a Master agent does not gain health, movement speed or a stronger weapon.
Trapper Aggressor is characterized as an experienced and cunning captor who uses wetland and jungle knowledge to seize hostages. Trapper is a related but distinct character: the profile emphasizes stealth and the difficulty of detecting the group before it attacks. The two names refer to different agent items and different descriptions, not alternate labels for one model. Their stories supply a fictional field-specialist identity; they do not make hostage interactions faster or alter the Hostage Rescue rules.
Col. Mangos Dabisi is a former Ugandan military officer whose career ended in a dishonorable discharge after he abused subordinates. Guerrilla Warfare recruits him for his size and military experience, while his tendency to use excessive force is presented as a problem that others must restrain. His command background contrasts with the trappers’ focus on concealment and capturing visitors.
Recruits and survivalists
Elite Trapper Solman begins as a tourist captured during a Caribbean vacation. He negotiates his own release by promising to deliver additional hostages, then proves so effective at securing ransom that the faction brings him in. The profile makes his persuasive, calculating personality central to the character; it is fictional biography and has no effect on hostage value or match rewards.
Arno The Overgrown is a disgraced heavyweight boxing champion discovered living in a cave by the faction’s trappers. The account describes him as an expert survivalist and big-game hunter who can live off the land. His imposing appearance and fighting background give him a different profile from Solman’s negotiation and ransom schemes, but do not change melee damage or movement in CS2.
Vypa Sista of the Revolution is described as growing up among twelve sisters with very limited support and learning to survive through resourcefulness. Her story emphasizes improvisation and resilience rather than formal military service. Vypa’s Master quality and distinctive background make her a separate selectable character within the same Terrorist faction.
The Crasswater agents
“Medium Rare” Crasswater and Crasswater The Forgotten are two Master-quality agent appearances of the same central character. Their shared profile is that of a former U.S. Navy SEAL captain captured while serving in the Middle East in the 1990s. A failed rescue attempt and a subsequent military cover-up leave him presumed dead; after years in captivity, he turns against the country and organization he once served and joins Guerrilla Warfare.
The character’s military discipline and ability to organize the group’s cells distinguish him from its more chaotic field operators. The two agent items let players choose different visual presentations associated with Crasswater’s faction story. They are not two separate team roles, and neither provides military training as an in-game accuracy or tactical bonus. Their biographies also do not change which side they play for: both remain Terrorist agents.
Using the faction in CS2
A Guerrilla Warfare agent is selected through the player’s Terrorist-side customization. Once a round begins, the agent follows the same movement, health, armor, weapon and economy rules as other Terrorist models. The character’s fictional background does not grant a unique ability, loadout, hostage skill or special interaction. Choose among the models for appearance, voice and character presentation.
The faction participates in the ordinary objectives of the selected mode. In Bomb Defusal, Terrorists attack or defend according to the bomb scenario and its round state. In Hostage Rescue, the Terrorist side attempts to prevent extraction or eliminate the Counter-Terrorists. The relevant mode page defines those win conditions; the faction entry explains only the identity and agents. See Agents and Agent Models for the shared customization system, and Terrorists for the team role.
Version and availability
This entry covers the CS2 faction and its eight named agents, their item qualities and the profiles attached to those models. The maintained faction page also describes appearances and availability from earlier Counter-Strike editions and the history of Operation Riptide. Those dated operation-shop details are not current CS2 mode rules and are omitted here. An agent may remain in the item catalogue after the event that introduced it ends; current acquisition or market availability is a separate, changeable inventory question.
Older games used faction models in map-specific ways and had different team presentation. CS2’s agent-selection system separates a player’s chosen appearance from map identity. This distinction keeps the faction’s historical origin from being confused with how its agents function in present CS2 matches.
