Release and acquisition

The collection became available in the March 11, 2026 CS2 update. Players access its items through the Dead Hand Terminal, which is listed as a possible weekly drop. This separates its offer path from the standard Weapon Cases system: a Terminal presents priced offers for the player to consider instead of revealing one case reward after a key opening.

A terminal’s weekly availability can change with reward updates. The collection’s release date and contents are historical facts, while whether a player can currently receive a terminal is a time-sensitive state. See Terminal for the sealed and active item states, offer sequence and expiration rules.

Community weapon finishes

The weapon portion contains 17 finishes from community contributors. Each finish is associated with one named weapon and a rarity grade. Collection membership provides a shared release identity; the complete cosmetic identity still includes the base weapon and finish name. A finish changes how a weapon looks, not its damage, recoil, magazine or movement properties.

The weapon finishes are offered through the Dead Hand Terminal. A player sees item offers and can decide whether to purchase an offered cosmetic under the terminal rules. This item route should not be confused with selecting a weapon from the round Buy Menu: the collection changes the player’s persistent inventory, not the weapons available for a specific round purchase.

Twenty-two rare glove finishes

The 22 gloves are the collection’s rare special items and expand the cosmetic Gloves roster. They belong to three existing model families: eight Driver Gloves, seven Specialist Gloves and seven Sport Gloves. The counts add up to 22 and refer only to the new Dead Hand designs, not all glove finishes in CS2.

Driver Gloves include Garden, Wave Chaser, Brocade Crane, Brocade Flowers, Hand Sweaters, Plum Quill, Dragon Fists and Seigaiha. Specialist Gloves include Pillow Punchers, Cloud Chaser, Blackbook, Lime Polycam, Big Swell, Sunburst and Chocolate Chesterfield. Sport Gloves include Ultra Violent, Occult, Violet Beadwork, Red Racer, Blaze, Frosty and Creme Pinstripe. The family name identifies the model; each following name is its finish.

Gloves are cosmetic hand models and do not affect combat statistics. As with other finishes, the individual exterior condition affects appearance. The Dead Hand Terminal is the acquisition context shared by the collection’s weapon and glove items, but gloves and weapons remain distinct inventory item classes.
