Pass functions
The Viewer Pass links three event systems: it grants the event Coin, makes Pick’Em rewards available while active, and adds the player to the Active Pass Leaderboard. The leaderboard lets players compare Pick’Em performance with friends. The pass is therefore the participation key for the listed event features, while the Coin remains a separate inventory item and Pick’Em is the prediction activity.
The May 21 CS2 update does not state a purchase price, activation deadline, expiration date or detailed reward thresholds in the scoped passage. Use the dated Hub page for the linked event features and avoid treating this article as a permanent offer or a full set of Pick’Em rules.
May 21, 2026 IEM Cologne Major update
The Cologne 2026 Viewer Pass was the event pass for the IEM Cologne 2026 Major Hub. The May 21, 2026 CS2 update stated that purchasing a pass granted a Cologne 2026 Coin that could be upgraded. With an active pass, a player could upgrade the Coin and earn rewards by playing the Pick’Em Challenge.
An active pass also placed the player on the Active Pass Leaderboard, where Pick’Em performance could be compared with friends. This leaderboard participation was tied to having an active pass; the patch does not publish scoring rules, rank cutoffs or reward thresholds. See Cologne 2026 Coin for the event collectible and Cologne 2026 Pick’Em Challenge for the prediction activity.
These mechanics describe the Cologne 2026 release state. A Viewer Pass is event-specific, and the source does not say that it remains purchasable or that its reward path continues after the tournament. Current availability should be checked in the CS2 event interface.
