Objectives
Bargaining with the devil is ill-advised... yet it might be the way to save Coen's family.
To treat with Brencis, Coen must light the beacon atop the tower in the Shrike's Crag quarry.
No bargain will be struck with this monster. It is time to finish him.
Something has driven the spectres into a frenzy — but Coen's father must be saved.
Brencis demands a single price: the whereabouts of the manumit hideout. Coen must learn it to strike a deal.
The hideout lies in Svartrau, beneath Brencis's very nose. Mark it with his blood.
- 1. Parley with Brencis — dealing with the devil is folly, yet it may save Coen's family. (Time sensitive, Night only, 4 time segments)
- 2. Light the fire signal during the night — to parley with Brencis, light the fire on the tower in the Shrike's Crag quarry. (Night only)
- 3. Defeat Brencis — no deal will be made with this monster; end this. (Night only)
- 4. Save Pieter — the spectres have been driven into frenzy by unknown causes; Coen's father must be saved. (Night only)
- 5. Find the location of the manumit hideout — Brencis asks a single price — the hideout's location; learn it to bargain.
- 6. Mark the manumit hideout — it hides in Svartrau, beneath Brencis's very nose; mark it with his blood. (Night only)
Endings
- Coen abandoned his father in his hour of need — a choice to carry for the rest of his days.
- Coen gave Brencis the hideout's location. The manumits were massacred... yet Brencis kept his word and freed the family.
- Coen met Brencis to parley, then chose to strike. The devil laughed last — with Brencis gone, his soldiers executed Coen's family. Vale Sangora was freed, but Coen lost everything.
- Coen handed the blood vial to Marat instead. The manumits will not be betrayed.
- Coen waited too long. His family is dead, and no bargain with Brencis remains possible.
- Coen refused any parley with Brencis. The time for killing has come.
- In the end, Coen never went to meet Brencis at Shrike's Crag.
