Lightning Rod - Minecraft Dungeons II Artifact

The Lightning Rod is a Mage artifact in Minecraft Dungeons II that channels soul-powered lightning, zapping your enemies silly for as long as you hold it. It is the storm-caster's answer to the Corrupted Beacon: hold the button and pour lightning into anything in front of you.

Effect and cost

The rod has a 6-second cooldown and drains souls while you channel it — the longer you hold, the more lightning you pour out and the more souls it eats. That makes soul management the core skill: you need a healthy soul pool to sustain long zaps. It excels against single tough targets, where you can keep the beam trained on them, and against lines of enemies caught in the arc.

When to use it

Pick the Lightning Rod for lightning-themed Mage builds. It pairs with other storm gear: the Conductive Quiver for lightning arrows, the Electric Bangle for electrified melee, and the Lightning Surge enchantment for lightning waves. Keep a soul source like the Twisted Tooth talisman handy so the channel never runs dry mid-fight.

How to get it

The Lightning Rod drops in Frozen Highlands and Humbler Huskland. For other hold-to-channel Mage artifacts, compare it with the Corrupted Beacon and the Cinder Scepter.
