Dartback

The Dartback is a mini-boss in Minecraft Dungeons II fought in Lullaby Hills, a heavyweight with 700 health, 700 poise, and hits of up to 25. It is built like a siege engine: slow at 230 movement speed, but nearly impossible to stagger and punishing to anyone caught in its path.

Its moveset is unusually varied for a mini-boss. It has a melee attack for 17 physical, a ranged attack fired from a socket for 10 physical, and a charge for 25 physical that is its hardest hit. The charge is the attack to respect: the Dartback telegraphs its rush, and sidestepping it is the difference between a clean fight and a desperate scramble.

It is weak to elemental damage (+25%) and resists both soul damage (-20%) and melee damage (-20%). Elemental weapons are the clear pick here, while melee-focused builds will feel the resistance; consider switching to a ranged elemental weapon for this fight.

It appears in Lullaby Hills at the Illager Stronghold and Lullaby Hilltop stations, and during soul storms across the overworld. The Enderman and Evoker are fellow mini-bosses with their own tricks, and the Copper Monstrosity is the full boss to graduate to.
