John the Fearless marches to crush a revolt outside Liège, then faces a changing objective as the siege reaches the city. Raid nearby settlements for supplies and disrupt the rebel camps before the defenders can sustain their resistance.

Player approach

A Kingdom Divided on Hard difficulty offers time to boom before Liège attacks. Use the eastern stone for a second Town Center and Castle, then remove the Rebel camps’ Gunpowder Stores to reduce their unit mix.

Step-by-step plan

Build a second Town Center near the eastern stone and raid the northern and southern villages for their resources. Wall the starting position and place a Castle by the new Town Center, leaving Knights ready to remove Rams. Continue expanding while striking the Rebel Supply Camps; destroy their Gunpowder Stores first so Organ Guns and Hand Cannoneers stop appearing. Use Cavaliers to clear camps, watching for Pikemen, then take a larger siege force toward the final city.

Risks and adjustments

Liège begins attacking after a delay, but the first Castle must be ready before the raid. Protect gold miners and do not send Cavaliers into Pikemen without ranged or siege support.
