CAMPAIGN · THE FORGOTTEN
All Roads Lead to a Besieged City
Alaric’s small force works around Rome rather than assaulting the city. Gather refugees and allied troops, cross the river to remove the three towers, then secure the Gothic camp and hold its Market against a Roman counterattack.

Overview
Alaric’s small force works around Rome rather than assaulting the city. Gather refugees and allied troops, cross the river to remove the three towers, then secure the Gothic camp and hold its Market against a Roman counterattack.
Player approach
All Roads Lead to a Besieged City can be completed through objectives outside Rome. Remove the three southern Watch Towers and collect available refugees instead of entering the heavily defended city.
Step-by-step plan
Move along the east bank to find Gaia refugees and recruit them for the march. Cross the river by the small island south of the bridge rather than using the guarded crossing. Destroy the eastern tower first, then reach the western bank for the other two while avoiding inland Watch Towers and Roman patrols. Keep a small force with the refugees so they can support the objective fights.
Risks and adjustments
Rome’s defenses make a direct entry unnecessary and dangerous. The bridge is not the safe crossing route; use the southern island and keep the army away from tower fire.
