Overview

Lead a mobile empire through the conquests of Central and western Asia.

Scenario details

Lead a mobile empire through the conquests of Central and western Asia. Mission order and scenario notes: 1. Amir of Transoxiana — Tamerlane begins behind Samarkand’s defenses and must expand across the steppe to secure three Relics. Rival khanates control the relics and draw resources from scattered camps; weaken their economies or bring Tokhtamysh into power to make the contest easier 2. Gurkhan of Persia — Tamerlane enters Persia amid shifting alliances and a web of rival cities. Choose three of five fortified targets, manage the changing truces, and then bring down Tokhtamysh’s two Castles to finish the campaign’s Persian conquest 3. Harbinger of Destruction — After breaking through the frozen river battle, Tamerlane must establish a winter supply base and push south against Tokhtamysh. Raid scattered storehouses for food, secure local allies where possible, and destroy any two of the Golden Horde’s three main cities 4. Sultan of Hindustan — Tamerlane’s army first has to turn back Shah Tughluq’s elephant-led force, then race the supply clock to breach Delhi. The surrounding villages and Monasteries feed the city, so raiding them both disrupts its defense and replenishes your army 5. Scourge of the Levant — Tamerlane arrives in the Levant with a field army but no settled economy. Capture a nearby village, secure Relics and new sources of income, then earn the required gold by raiding the cities and trade routes that sustain the region 6. A Titan Amongst Mortals — Tamerlane has half an hour to build an economy, weaken Ottoman supply camps, and win over wavering auxiliaries before Bayezid’s attack. After holding the battle line, march on the Ottoman fortress and Smyrna to end the campaign Use the named objectives, starting setup, and mission order in this entry to distinguish it from the standard skirmish rules.
