CAMPAIGN · THE LAST KHANS
Sultan of Hindustan
Tamerlane’s army first has to turn back Shah Tughluq’s elephant-led force, then race the supply clock to breach Delhi. The surrounding villages and Monasteries feed the city, so raiding them both disrupts its defense and replenishes your army.

Overview

Player approach
Sultan of Hindustan begins in a pitched battle where Flaming Camels convert War Elephants to your side. Use the elephants to absorb attention while faster troops attack the enemy’s ranged units.
Step-by-step plan
Allow the Flaming Camels to reach the War Elephants and convert them, then move the elephants to draw the bulk of Shah Tughluq’s force. Keep Pikemen, Cavalry Archers, and Steppe Lancers behind them. Use Light Cavalry in a wide approach against Skirmishers and Elephant Archers, while preserving as many units as possible to raid villages and prepare the final battle for Delhi.
Risks and adjustments
The opening battle determines how much time and army remain for the next phase. Do not chase isolated enemies with the elephants; protect the supporting units and keep the path to the village raids open.
