Overview

Sundjata must win allies before he can challenge the Sosso king. Escort the cart bearing his baobab staff to three regional powers, protect it from raids, and build up the support needed for the struggle ahead.

Player approach

The Sting of the Scorpion is won by carrying Sundjata’s Relic Cart to the flagged plazas of Sangaran, Labe, and Niger. The tribes surrender when the cart reaches each target, so a full base destruction is unnecessary.

Step-by-step plan

Build an escort around the Relic Cart and scout the route to one tribe at a time. Send durable units ahead to draw fire and clear a safe corridor, then move the cart behind them to the marked plaza. Use the surrender to shorten the front before turning toward the next tribe, and keep a reserve between the cart and enemy cavalry or siege.

Risks and adjustments

The Cart is slow and can be captured or attacked, so never leave it unattended. Keep it out of the main melee and do not waste time razing a base after its plaza objective is complete.
