Player approach
Vytautas’ Crusade begins without a settled economy. Liberating Ruthenian towns gives Villagers and resources, while clearing their towers and Trade Workshops can rapidly strengthen Vytautas.
Step-by-step plan
Move through the Ruthenian towns first and fully clear each settlement to recruit its Villagers. Establish a Town Center once the worker count and resources support it, then build behind Tokhtamysh’s position so both forces can cover raids. Let Vytautas finish towers and Trade Workshops after the garrisons fall to build his experience, and collect the Relics as each route becomes safe.
Risks and adjustments
Tokhtamysh begins building up once your first Town Center is placed. Do not delay the base until every village is cleared, and keep Vytautas from taking damage while he levels.
