A Taste of Freedom Mapuche alliance plan
A Taste of Freedom requires a large economy and siege force to take Pedro de Valdivia’s Castles. The Mapuche begin passive, but can be recruited by delivering the Relic Cart or defeating enough Spanish troops.

Overview
A Taste of Freedom requires a large economy and siege force to take Pedro de Valdivia’s Castles. The Mapuche begin passive, but can be recruited by delivering the Relic Cart or defeating enough Spanish troops.
Plan and execution
Expand the economy and choose the alliance route early. If escorting the Relic Cart, scout the southeastern approach and use Lautaro or cavalry to pull patrols away while the main force clears the Palisade Gate. Otherwise build the army and track the unit-kill threshold for the selected difficulty. Once the Mapuche join, use their support to contest the field while assembling siege and a protected assault against the Castles and Wooden Forts.
Risks and adaptation
The Spanish patrols include highly upgraded units, so the Relic Cart route needs careful luring and an escort. A siege force without enough economy or anti-unit support will be overwhelmed before the fortifications fall.
