Overview

Arena’s stone walls create a protected opening, while the open center and its relics become important once armies can leave the base.

Plan and execution

Use the safer start to choose whether to advance quickly or build a broader economy, but scout wall gaps and nearby resources before committing. Send a small force toward the center when it can be screened, then use Monks to collect relics and siege to open a route through defended walls or Gates.

Risks and adaptation

The walls delay direct contact but do not remove the need for defense. A greedy boom can be punished by a forward Castle or siege; watch the opponent’s timing and protect the route from your base to the center.
