Coordinate shore pressure
Use Dromons or other long-range support to pressure shore defenses while land units move toward a useful objective. Keep warships between the siege line and enemy ships, and use vision to select targets.
Open one safe route
A coastal attack works when ships and land forces create a foothold together. Avoid firing from exposed water without a screen, and do not send a transport into a landing zone the army cannot hold.
