Coustillier charge-and-retreat plan
Coustillier: Coustilliers build their value around a powerful charge attack, so hit-and-run movement can make each engagement more favorable than a prolonged melee. They are especially useful when the opponent relies on slower units that cannot easily disengage.

Overview
Coustillier: Coustilliers build their value around a powerful charge attack, so hit-and-run movement can make each engagement more favorable than a prolonged melee. They are especially useful when the opponent relies on slower units that cannot easily disengage.
Plan and execution
Approach with a group, strike a slow target after the charge is ready, then pull back while the units recover. Use a frontline or terrain to block pursuit, and re-enter when the next charge can land on the same or another exposed group.
Risks and adaptation
Knights, Camel Riders, Monks, or a larger Halberdier force can blunt the tactic. Avoid leaving Coustilliers in continuous melee where they cannot use their burst and movement advantage.
