Overview

Deeds of the Father lets the fleet pressure Mannaram while the land army focuses on Polonnaruwa. Clear the coastal objective first, then use Armored Elephants to break the Castle that blocks the succession.

Plan and execution

Use the ships to destroy Mannaram’s Town Center from the water rather than splitting the army into two difficult land assaults. This reduces the enemy front and can unlock the Castle Age transition. Recruit additional Armored Elephants before attacking Polonnaruwa’s Castle, and use other units to distract its army while the elephants work. After the Castle falls, bring Rajendra to the Town Center to claim the city.

Risks and adaptation

Polonnaruwa’s military does not all need to be destroyed, so avoid costly cleanup fights. Keep the Armored Elephants alive because they are essential against the Castle and vulnerable to focused counters.
