Overview

Forward towers deny gathering space; early scouting and measured responses preserve economic options.

Plan and execution

Watch for forward builders, move threatened workers, and contest construction only with favorable support. Protect alternate gold or wood and use defense where it restores access.

Risks and adaptation

Fighting under completed tower fire costs workers. Avoid overspending on repairs; relocate resources and pressure the tower owner elsewhere.

Decision example

Watch for enemy Villagers moving ahead of their army. If a tower is still unfinished and your force can reach its builders safely, contest them; otherwise move threatened workers out of range and secure an alternate woodline or gold. A counter-tower helps only when it restores access or covers an important approach. Do not stand Villagers under finished tower fire to repair a camp that can be replaced elsewhere. Once the economy is stable, pressure the attacker’s exposed home or remove the forward position with siege when available.
