Overview

Genitour: Genitours are mobile archer counters with enough durability to keep pressure on ranged armies. They can also use hit-and-run movement against slower infantry when a safe route is available.

Plan and execution

Scout for Archers, then keep Genitours between the enemy ranged line and your Villagers or siege. Focus the archer mass and move away before infantry can pin the cavalry; use their speed to reinforce a second threatened flank.

Risks and adaptation

Genoese Crossbowmen and anti-cavalry units can threaten the line. Do not use Genitours as a general heavy-cavalry force or chase infantry into defensive fire.
